I’m running for Alpine School Board, District 2, representing parts of Lehi and Saratoga Springs. I genuinely love public education and have enjoyed working with parents, teachers, and administrators over the past 20 years in helping schools be amazing places for our kids. I hope you’ll join with me in creating the best educational opportunities we can to prepare our students for their future.

What Wendy stands for
Student Learning
The heart of education is our students and improving student learning should be at the forefront of every decision made as a school board. I believe that every child can be prepared for post high school training and education by acquiring essential knowledge, skills, and dispositions.
Working Together
I genuinely love working with parents, teachers, and administrators in helping schools be amazing places for our kids! I believe that TOGETHER we create the best opportunities for our students. As we support each other and communicate effectively we can better serve every child.
Teacher Support
A highly trained and qualified teacher is the best resource we have to help students progress in their learning. Teachers should be fairly compensated, receive professional development that helps them reach the needs of their students, and have the needed support from staff and administrators. Thank you to our teachers who do amazing work!!!
Local Control
I believe local control is crucial for successful schools. Decisions made through local school boards, teachers and administrators, and the local community, best serve the needs of our students.
Parental Involvement
Education is a community effort! Parental involvement in schools helps children and teachers be successful. I believe strongly that supporting local schools through volunteering your time and assisting your child in their educational experience makes all the difference.
Financial Responsibility
The Board of Education has a responsibility to ensure a wise use of money and resources to benefit all students. Accountability and transparency are important in the use of taxpayer money.
